The menu features moreish eats like Korean fried chicken, BBQ chilli sambal prawns with roti, pork belly banh mi and tamarind glazed beef ribs. Located in Palmwoods, Piggyback, much like its siblings, is serving an incredible Asian fusion menu with a big focus on street food, AKA expect big flavours. The lovechild of two of Sunshine Coast’s best restaurants, Rice Boi and Giddy Geisha, put this new eatery to the top of your must visit list immediately. On the menu you’ll find flavour bombs like their family favourite tagliolini alla granseola 1983 (fine green pasta with Fraser Island spanner crab in a tomato passata), octopus carpaccio with olive emulsion and potato and Moreton Bay Bug with foie gras and saffron. ![]() And we’re so excited they’ve brought their talent and flavours to the Sunshine Coast. The eatery itself might be new but the ethos and talent behind it is decades old-it’s run by Matteo and Michela Galletto, children of restaurateurs Lucio and Sally Galletto whose Sydney establishment was a foodie institution. Lucio’s Marinaįor one of the best pastas you’ll ever devour, make tracks to Lucio’s Marina, a 60-seat seafood trattoria and aperitivo bar overlooking the stunning Noosa River. If you arrive early, their brekky offering is equally delicious with grilled pumpkin and harissa spiced eggs or try the scorched cherry tomatoes, chilli, kale and smashed eggs on toast - you won’t regret it. On the menu you’ll find loaded sandwiches (Reubens, pork rillette with pickled vege and bacon and eggs baps), plus their famous Eudlo Pie filled with delicious sticky beef cheeks slow cooked in red wine. Coming to us care of local restaurateur Tony Kelly ( Rice Boi, Giddy Geisha and now Piggyback) this sweet spot might have only opened its doors in December 2021 but it’s already become a firm favourite with locals and visitors alike. You have a few days left to play along.Pavillion Mooloolaba Eudlo General Storeīreathing new love into a shop space that has served the local community since 1925, Eudlo General Store is the perfect place to settle in for a good quality pie and cuppa this summer. I snuck a strip of GLITTER TAPE under the saucer so it didn’t look like it was floating:) That sweet tiny HELLO is from PRAGMATIC WREATHS and trimmed to make a tea tag:) I then took all the pieces and arranged tham onto a light pink VELLUM covered cardbase using FOAM TAPE under the blooms and TOMBOW MULTI glue for the rest. Mini Heart Print Cling Background was colored with the PALE ROSE ZIG, spritzed with water and stamped onto white CS and trimmed with the largest Double Stitched Rectangle Dies (Small) and colored a bit with the ENGLISH LAVENDER,803, BLUSH and PALE ROSE for some dimension. I inked both the cup and saucer with SOFT ORCHID dye ink.The Tea Party cup and saucer were just the vessel to pop that bouquet into:) Tea Party Coordinating Dies made for easy cutting too.Cut this bouquet out with the Sunflower Bouquet Coordinating Die and carefully trimmed the stems off.Moving onto the leaves by quickly coloring with MID GREEN,046 and OLIVE GREEN,043 for the shadows….At this time I RE-STAMPED the bouquet, using the MISTI, with AMBER CITRINE dye ink because I wanted more yellow gold for teh petals to show through.Added a wash of YELLOW GREEN,053 over the dotted centers leaving just a bit of highlight.Dotted the center of each flower with BRICK BEIGE, BLUSH, and PALE ROSE,230.More flicks of color with LIGHT CARMINE,021 BRIGHT YELLOW,052, and PEACH PINK,202.Continuing with more shadows with BRICK BEIGE, 075 in the darkest part of each petal tip and connecting point at the center. Then added BLUSH,069 at the base of each petal and where I thought a shadow might be.Using a clean water blush, I began with the YELLOW,050 Zig to lay down a base color on each petal.I stamp the bouquet with Vanilla Frosted Cupcake Dye ink. I started out by stamping the Sunflower Bouquet onto a piece of Bristol Smooth 100lb paper.Well, I wasn’t quite finished coloring Sunflowers I guess! These are a bit on the Pink-ish side with a hint of Yellow:) In my last post I shared a video on how I colored the Outlines of the Fresh Cut Sunflowers with Ziggys. Hello everyone, it’s LauraJane today:) I have a sweet teacup of sunflowers for you today using the SUNFLOWER BOUQUET.…. ![]()
