As far as I know that's how direct connect works in other apps too. I am confident that we'll come out of this with a better system and from now on we should at least be notified of any planned changes.ĭtd, with Direct Connect from Moneydance there are no third parties - it's just moneydance on your computer connecting directly to the financial institution's servers. At least with Citibank they contacted us and we worked closely with them to get the new system working, even if there were some bumps in that road. I'm sorry you've had to suffer through the Citibank problems and now this. I have however applied to their developer program and begun to gather data on how we can get a connection back up using their new system. I've checked everywhere and have no messages from anyone at Schwab to indicate that any change was planned. Of course he had no answer, but expressed his own hope that I'd get a proper answer on Monday. I expressed the "how does Schwab even know which third party is connecting on the direct connect protocol (that I presented here in my previous message)". He listened to my concerns, and as a 30 year I/T person, he indeed said - "You know tons more about this than me - but I'm going to link you to third level I/T support." He also said I'd probably get a call on Monday, probably afternoon. I got the standard script others are mentioning, that "only Quicken, TurboTax and HRBlock have signed something sent in January 2020 to allow them to continue to access Schwab data." I did get a commitment for someone to call me today.ġ0/23 - 4:30pm MDT US - Nathan called me (just as I was about to give up and call Schwab - that felt eerie) - he couldn't provide much info, as he was a "supervisor/facilitator/advocate". If the symbol, for which you imported the historical quotes, is not currently shown in the chart, click on it now to see its chart.Ok, here are my two dialogues with Schwab, but, tl/dr - I'm wondering if Schwab has discontinued direct connect.ġ0/22 - pm - Schwab, talked to Alex. When the import is finished, StockMarketEye will display an informational window with details about what was imported and the chart will be reloaded.Once you have chosen the CSV file and the import mode, click on the OK button to start the import.More precisely, if the imported symbol and date match an existing symbol and date in StockMarketEye’s historical quote data, the imported data for that date will be discarded and not used. Existing historical quotes are not overwritten and duplicate quotes for a date will not be saved. In this mode, historical quotes from the imported CSV file are only imported into StockMarketEye if they do not already exist in StockMarketEye’s historical data. Add the historical quotes from the import file. The historical data from the import file will then be imported to replace the data that was just deleted. In this mode, the current historical data in StockMarketEye, for any symbol found in the imported CSV file, will be deleted before the import starts. Replace the historical quotes with the quotes from the file.Volume (optional) – The trading volume on the date. The open, high and low values for the date will be set to the same value as the open value.Ticker Symbol – The ticker symbol of the security to which the quote data belongs.3-Column format (Close only) The 3 columns of the CSV file must be as follows: Ticker Symbol Date Close Volume (optional).Volume – The trading volume on the date. Date – The date of the historical quote.
